Where culture
meets discipline.
YAKA brings a Sri Lankan visual language into a modern idea: becoming the person your standards require.
Southern Sri Lanka.
YAKA's visual world is rooted in the mask traditions of southern Sri Lanka, with Ambalangoda known for traditions including Raksha, Sanni and Kolam masks.
Those forms gave YAKA a powerful design language: bold faces, symmetry, crowns, colour and presence. We carry that language forward with respect rather than presenting the brand as a reproduction of ritual.

Modern Guardians of discipline.
The 18 is a nod to the eighteen masks of the Sanni Yakuma tradition of southern Sri Lanka. YAKA's Guardians are our own modern reinterpretation, rooted in Raksha and Sanni mask language from Ambalangoda.
They are not a reproduction of the ritual, and they are not historical deities. GARA, GINI and NAGA take their names from Raksha mask traditions. MIDNIGHT and later Guardians are modern YAKA names.
Each Guardian gives a different part of discipline a face — from confronting weakness and controlling energy to awareness, silent execution and self-mastery.
The culture gives it form.
The standard gives it purpose.
YAKA is built for the moment motivation fades and the choice is still yours. The Guardians are not decoration. They are a language for the standards we choose to keep.
